Have you “Bee”-n frustrated with tech as of late?

Hello there. If you’re coming from the Bee Discord, you’ve probably heard the news: As of July 22, 2025, Bee.computer has been acquired by Amazon. While the future of Bee under Amazon is still unfolding, for some of us, this is a clear sign to look elsewhere.

I’ve been on the hunt for a genuine alternative to the Bee device long before this announcement. I’ve settled on a promising option, but I’m still waiting for it to arrive so I can do a full review. However, finding a replacement isn’t the only reason this blog exists.

The State of Technology Today

Lately, it feels like technology has strayed from its user-friendly roots. It’s less about empowering us and more about collecting our data. Even seemingly helpful tech sites often prioritize pushing sales over genuinely assisting users.

This blog is different. It’s all about privacy and user control first. We’ll talk about how technology can truly help you express your creativity and live a better life, without requiring you to sell your data. I’m more than just a fan of Bee; I believe in using technology to help you live a better life. I’m also a big fan of the old lifehacker.com before it sadly became what it is today.

The Bee news caught me off guard, prompting me to launch this blog sooner than I anticipated. I’m still working on getting everything in place, but I wanted to get this message out to you now.
